We are thrilled to announce that we have commenced the implementation of the HS8 electronic controlled drug register across 36 Ramsay hospital sites nationally that will be complete by the end of 2020.
Michelle Lynch, General Manager, Operations at Ramsay Pharmacy, commented: Modeus have had a longstanding relationship with Ramsay, being the providers of DDBook controlled drug register software to our community pharmacy franchise network for many years. When they approached us with a custom built controlled drug register for our hospital dispensaries, we were naturally interested. Ramsay has always placed great importance on ensuring the safety and security of medications especially with pharmacists being custodians of medication. Modeus’ HS8 programs provides functionality to further enhance medication governance and a safety and quality focus.
Carl Zufi, CEO of Modeus commented; Modeus are delighted to be able to extend our relationship with Ramsay to include the rollout of HS8 to their network of hospitals across Australia. We look forward to working closely with Ramsay in the weeks and months ahead to deliver what we believe is a groundbreaking product in the market that should be well utilised by their network.

Modeus exhibited at the Medicines Management conference on the Gold Coast last weekend.
This year, we extended our offering beyond the HS8 software by demonstrating integrations with various hardware such as Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Med Carts and Remote Locks. We also featured an integration with a very popular clinical authentication solution.
We had a significant interest in both the flexible software and hardware options, with one attendee calling the solution a “game changer”. It was great to see delegates visiting the booth after watching Peter Blewitt’s presentation on how a hospital can benefit from an electronic controlled drug register.
Modeus is pleased to announce a partnership with Debetrek, one of Australia’s top healthcare equipment specialists.
The HS8 + Debetrek solution will offer a feature-rich, cost-effective, low-risk option to hospitals wishing to automate their medication management and transition their controlled drug management from paper to digital.
The solution is designed to be customisable for each hospital’s unique needs, offering a high degree of adaptability for different locations.
The flexibility offered through the solution allows hospitals to gradually improve their model of care in line with budgets and other priorities, while maintaining familiarity with a single software solution.
Modeus attended the SHPA 2018 Medicines Management Conference in Brisbane to promote HS8, our new hospital controlled drug register platform.
This year has seen incredible momentum with many hospitals throughout Australia inquiring about HS8 and the SHPA conference was a great reflection of this interest. It provided an opportunity to meet with many hospitals face to face, update them on the latest developments and product enhancements, as well as enabled us to answer many of the questions asked.
Modeus are already looking forward to exhibiting at SHPA 2019 on the Gold Coast!
